Integral to our pillar of youth leadership empowerment, Project Aquascope has found motivated youth from all over the world who are changing their local communities for the better and has offered them support to grow their initiatives.
MUTAI KIPRONO - LEVERAGING AFRICA'S EDUCATION INITIATIVE
Mutai Kiprono, an Aquascope Ambassador based in Kenya, has co-created Leveraging Africa's Education Initiative (LAE Initiative), which is focused on promoting an equal and inclusive education system in Africa. He and his team pay exam fees and purchase school materials and school uniforms for five local primary school students in their community. Their plans for the future include to expand and hold workshops as schools begin to re-open. Project Aquascope has shared with LAE Initiative our unique curriculum on environmental sustainability to help Mutai in his goal of promoting quality education in his community.
EDICIA BORLOH - REDUCTION OF WASTE
Edicia Borloh, an Aquascope Ambassador based in Liberia, has founded Reduction of Waste (ROW), which seeks to contribute to the reduction of improper waste management in Liberia. ROW intends to implement this through the provision of household garbage disposal equipment for families and local businesses. ROW raises awareness on the effects of improper waste disposal. Project Aquascope has created relevant infographics to help Edicia spread awareness on the adverse effects of improper waste management.
PRIYAL JAIN - THE SUSTAINABLE नवोन्मेष
Priyal Jain, an Aquascope Ambassador based in India, has created The Sustainable नवोन्मेष, a blog where
the perspectives and viewpoints of youth from across the globe will be recorded in regards to their opinions on the Environmental Sustainable Development Goals (13, 14, & 15): Climate Action, Life Under Water and Life on Land. The नवोन्मेष means innovation in Sanskrit. Priyal plans to collaborate and learn from enthusiastic young people who work on innovative ideas to bring a change in this world! Project Aquascope plans to help Priyal in her journey by connecting her to more youth activists to kickstart her blog as well as advise their hands-on work. Priyal will be coordinating plantation drives, strikes, bicycle education tours, etc. within her own community.
